POCKETLAX
About

Run out of Baltimore.

A garage brand a few blocks from where the college game grew up.

Est. 2019 — Baltimore, MD← Home

Pocket Lax started the way most gear brands should — two former club players who could not agree on which shaft was actually worth the money, so we bought them all and settled it at the wall. What survived our own sessions became the rack.

Every head we sell is strung by hand in the shop, thrown until the pocket sits right, and weighed before it goes in the box. We keep the line tight on purpose: the ones we'd carry ourselves, entry stick to tournament-spec carbon. No filler, no house-brand mystery gear.

A garage and a milk crate of shafts

We started buying every handle we could argue about and testing them against a wall behind the row house. The milk crate of rejects got bigger than the keep pile.

We started stringing our own heads

Tired of inconsistent factory pockets, we learned to string by hand. Every head since ships thrown and tuned — the pocket you get is the pocket we approved.

The rack settled at six

After years of adding and cutting, the line locked in on the essentials: a complete stick, a few shafts, a strung head, and the gloves we keep coming back to.

Season 2026 on the shelf

Same tight-line discipline, graded photography, and a training table for the sideline. Still strung in Baltimore, still tested before it ships.
